The Gnostic Soul: Annotated & Explained

I forgot to announce my next book. I'm currently working on The Gnostic Soul: Annotated & Explained for Skylight Paths, and I'm approaching the last month of work on the MS. The book looks at the idea of the soul, focusing on two beautiful and esoteric Gnostic texts, The Exegesis On the Soul and The Hymn of the Pearl. The book will comprise new translations of these two with facing page commentaries. In the introduction I look at the concept of the soul throughout history, in a variety of cultures, religions and esoteric doctrines. The book is scheduled to be published Spring 2007.

Christ in Islam

Bardic Press has just republished James Robson's Christ in Islam
This is a classic work, long out of print, an essential source for stories and sayings of Jesus from Islamic culture. Tarif Khalidi's The Muslim Jesus has since superceded it as a standard collection, but Christ in Islam still contains much that is not included in The Muslim Jesus. The book follows the original pagination and contains a brief foreword by myself. It was one of the sources for my Lost Sayings of Jesus
