Hermetic Texts in the NHL
Steve Habgood emailed me and pointed out a mistake in the introduction to The Gospel of Philip: Annotated and Explained. I mention that not all of the texts in the Nag Hammadi codices are Gnostic, and as an example of an Hermetic text I give Poimandres. Steve points out that Poimandres doesn't actually appear in the Nag Hammadi codices. He's quite right. I was thinking of Asclepius, which appears in Codex VI.

interesting blog. i wouldn't have thought that there would be enough new developments in this area for a blog to make sense.. but i guess you surprised me. wow.
